Investment Operations Associate
Toler Financial Group, a small independent wealth management and financial planning firm, is seeking an Investment Operations Associate to assist us in our mission of helping clients achieve their financial goals. We serve our community as independent fiduciaries with client-centered financial planning and investment services.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

About the Role
As an Investment Operations Associate, you will support key back-office functions including account setup, data management, portfolio/fund research, and investment performance measurement. This hands-on role offers exposure to trading workflows and investment research, with opportunities to build foundational skills and grow into more advanced responsibilities as you develop within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Support internal investment department functions including trading, performance reporting, money movement (check deposits, transfers, etc.), asset allocation, and market/manager research projects
Maintain and follow processes for ensuring accurate client and account data in portfolio reporting and CRM systems
Support advisors in new account onboarding and ongoing maintenance of accounts by drafting, sending, tracking, and following up on account paperwork with clients and custodians
Support investment committee research projects, report creation, presentation materials, and note taking
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiencies
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred)
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong analytical and data management skills
Ability to regularly commute to the Toler Financial Group office in Silver Spring, MD
Preferred:
1-2 years of professional experience with wealth management/financial advisory firm
Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of investment markets
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Interest in impact investing, ESG, or mission-driven financial services.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, values-focused environment.
